What is retro patent leather?
Retro patent is a supple patent leather that provides more comfort than classic patent leather. That's why we use it for closed models like the Lucrèce boot for example. Its slightly crumpled appearance in some places gives it a lot of charm!
Where can I try on Bégum shoes?
Bégum shoes are on sale on the internet, and also in our Parisian shops located at 18 rue du Pré aux Clercs, 75007 Paris and 159 Galerie de Valois, 75001 Paris.
How do I care for my Bégum shoes so that they don't get damaged?
To keep your Bégum shoes looking as good as new, we advise you to put shoe trees inside them, or, failing that, to put the tissue paper and the rod back inside the shoe when you put them away. This will prevent deformation and preserve their original shape.
How to maintain patent leather?
Its shiny appearance is the stuff of dreams for young and old alike... Resistant and easy to care for, all you need to do is wipe off the dust with a soft cloth to give your patent shoes a second lease of life.
To prevent possible micro-cracks, you can apply a special oil for patent leather once a year, which will keep it supple forever, or almost...
How to care for kid suede?
Suede kid is a very supple leather, soft to the touch. Its comfort is unequalled and its appearance magnificent! But it is more fragile and sensitive to stains than other leathers.
To keep your boots and pumps looking as good as new, use a crepe brush specially designed for the care of suede. To protect them from the weather, you can waterproof them with a special leather spray.
If you spill an oily liquid on your shoes, do not rub it off; preferably apply some terre de Sommières (a chalky powder which will absorb the grease), then, after a few hours, gently remove the excess powder with a soft brush.
